Piece of Democracy

All hail the once Africa iroko
crying like the “wizard of the crow”
Who’s lost the path to the cave
Here’s a nation ‘need once saved
‘this era of loom-cum–doom

Enough price paid in doom
Ancestors feel “un-peace”
Seeing a labour shattered in piece
Genocide still on
As vultured leaders now wears horn

We stick our time with life’s desire
Hands on jaw await the serpent with all its’ fire.
The fear gripping, rides so high
The women still tremble, our children cry
Still waiting the piece of democracy.
